Practice-Based Small Group Education (PBSG-ED) - The Learner in Difficulty (August 2026)

In 2026 I worked with Dr. Ruth Chen to redevelop four of the Practice-Based Small Group Education (PBSG-ED) modules. I continue to oversee the sale of them.

Summary

Practice-Based Small Group Education (PBSG-ED) is dedicated to enhancing the educational skills of busy clinician-teachers across health professional programs. Small groups of teachers can use the PBSG-ED paper modules at times and in settings of their convenience.

Each newly updated module provides continuing education that makes judicious use of the most recent and best available educational evidence. Starting from real-life examples of teaching/learning situations, the modules have been designed using a case-based format to promote discussion of challenging issues/dilemmas that are likely to arise when working with learners. Their purpose is to foster reflection and provide opportunities to refine skills, preparing the way for selected changes that can improve learning.
