MAC-CARE (Grand Erie) - Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence (2021)

Brantford General Hospital.

During my time with the Postgraduate Medical Education Office (PGME), a needs assessment of the residency programs was conducted to ensure that they had appropriate resources and support to facilitate program activities and success.

One of the outcomes was that I was tasked with reviewing a series of internal training courses as well as training material offered at various partner sites. The end goal was to identify overlap, and then to provide guidance as to what changes would potentially be needed.

This required reviewing and documenting courses at: McMaster Postgraduate Medical Education, Grand Erie Six Nations Clinical Education Campus, The McMaster Community and Rural Education Program (MAC-CARE), Burlington Clinical Education Campus, Halton Healthcare, William Osler Health System, McMaster Family Medicine, Waterloo Regional Campus, Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN), Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Guelph General Hospital, and Niagara Health.

One of the courses I reviewed was MAC-CARE Grand Erie’s Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence.
